Quaint atmosphere. The server Brandy (yes, one server for the whole place at lunch time) was nice and gave good recommendations. I had a burger, per her suggestion, and it was fantastic. This is a laid back, relaxing kind of place so don't expect super-fast service. I wasn't in a hurry so it didn't matter to me. My burger was $2 - $5 less than it would have cost at a chain restaurant. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in town.
Stopped by on the way home from a family road trip and found a new favorite restaurant. The food is incredible. We started off with an off menu drink called a "Candy Corn Martini" and it might be my new favorite cocktail of all time. Brandi who was our amazing waitress was the original mastermind behind it. We ordered the "Spinny Dip" (Spinach Dip) and "Hot Buffalo Dip" and they were DELICIOUS. The hamburgers continued the trend and were massive and fantastic and the literal cherry on top was a slice of cherry pie that had been taken out of the oven five minutes prior. If you find yourself in Texarkana this place is a must stop. If you go to the downtown location (recommended) you will be within walking distance to the state lines where you can have a each foot in a different state.
Ok, honestly, from a Marketing perspective guys, if you have an empty house, and 3 prospective customers looking to eat and drink, maybe you should forgo a cover charge.

The place was empty. There were 2 guys with guitars on a side stage strumming what sounded to be 1980's tunes. The hostess said it would be $15 to get in...
It's not just that she wanted to charge us a cover just to come have dinner, but also the attitude she had when she said it. Of course, we thanked her and found dinner elsewhere that didn't have a cover charge.
Good place to hang out drink beer. Has some good appetizers and chicken fried steak dinner not bad at all.
