I have gone here many times for tag renewal and to purchase tags for new vehicles, etc. Every person that has ever waited on me has been extremely rude. They make rude comments to you. They talk to you like you are stupid and you have no purpose for their businesses existence. Most of them have been there many years. I do not see how they still have a job with the terrible attitudes they carry with them. People like them should not work in the public and deal with customers. It's obvious this business does not have requirements for their employees to possess good customer service skills. I wish there was another place to get your tags renewed with nicer people who actually like having a job working in the public.
Connie Comeaux I know Cathy Brown Smith. She is a great humanitarian. Texarkana is lucky to have her!

From Cheers and Jeers on Facebook; Cheers to Cathy Smith who swapped numbers with me in line at the vehicle registration office today. Jeers to Vehicle Registration Office manager. I was last in line before lunch and no one was behind me. There was no seating left inside and my back was killing me, I couldn't even stand up straight. However, when business resumed after lunch (they lock the doors for an hour lunch 12-1) I had the first number but they employees skipped mine and went to the next one when they had not waited on anyone behind me or me. As a matter of fact I had number 46 and they started with number 47 and would NOT let me use my number I had pulled before lunch even though I was there waiting the entire time. Then they told me I had to get a new number and start over even though they arbitrarily skipped my number without having waited on me or anyone else behind me at the time. What was so bad is how open and brazenly RUDE they were about it in front of the entire office of people. Told me to maybe see if the person who came in behind me after lunch would let me go in their place. The entire office spoke up and said together, "he was the first one here!" I had been waiting 75 minutes. What makes this even worse is that I was there for my handicap plates since I can no longer walk or stand without assistance any more due to heart failure and back pain. Thanks again to Cathy Smith. If anyone knows her, please pass on to her my thanks.
Rande Richnow Yes, it was on Main Street Lori. Cathy, I will and thank you again. Interesting how just about everyone spoke up that I was the first one there but you were the only one to offer to exchange your ticket. I noticed we have some common friends and they know my heart is to serve God. I was in so much pain yesterday, like I said, and was just dumbfounded by the office indifference and insolence. The lady waiting on me was super nice when I got to the counter. I saw her in the office all during their lunch schedule and she said it was because they had so much to do, she worked through lunch

Too bad I can't give a negative amount of stars. Terrible, terrible place. Last year, when trying to renew my tags, I had taken off work 30 minutes early, just so I could get to their office before they closed. I arrived no later than 4:10. On their website, and CLEARLY STATED on the main entrance door, are the hours of operation, where their office is listed to close at 4:25PM. As soon as I walked in, an employee with a very rude tone said, "Ummm, we close at 4." Which resulted in me taking off work even earlier the following day and waiting two hours to get new tags. This year, I decided to make an even greater effort and take an entire half day off work, leaving after lunch, and arriving at their office at 2:30PM only to find out that they closed at 2PM for a Christmas party, ON A MONDAY, AN ENTIRE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS????!!!! Who has a Christmas party ON. A. MONDAY??!! Next year, I will just kick myself over and over if I don't go online early and order my tags.
