Took my bike in to have seals and gaskets replaced to amount to a total of 200+ dollars for primary and transmission leaks. Additional amount for the fork seals. Told during the work that the inner race was out of position and front motor mount was bad. I agreed to have fixed now total of 400+ dollars. Picked up bike to ride home and could not complete the 30 mile ride. Ignition components shorted and regular electrical circuits shorted. Taking out the headlight to examine the wires and found screws just laying on the housing. Primary cover chipped and gouged. Ignition sensor cover left half open. No reason to even be in there. Saddle bag guard mounts broken. Also, the bike now vibrates excessively. My examination found the motor mount and engine not centered. The next day after relating my experience I was told because the bike is a 1988 that when you fix one problem you will have another. Oh and I ruined the electrical parts by riding in the slight drizzle that I encountered on the way home. By the way previously I had the bike out and got caught in rainstorms with not even a bridge to get under for cover. The bike use to run like a top in any conditions even with the leaks. Doolins Harley Davidson in Texarkana Texas picked the bike up and got it running again replacing ignition parts amounting to 500+ dollars. The bike runs well now but guess what? The original leaks are still there and out 1,000 plus dollars. Plus it still has to be aligned to center the motor mount properally. Hopefully this will take care of the excessive vibration problem. If not I guess the primary chain has to be examined. How about that inner race? I would swear my drive belt is making dust now. Just for your info all prices include labor. At this point I would not let Custom Cycle service my lawnmower or weed wacker. In my book the poor rating is too good.
A great place to have your bike serviced, and sit around and B.S. No complaints. I really thought it was cool they have free crawfish on Saturdays :-D
this is in response to disappointed the bike this guy brought in for repairs was held together with ty wraps and bailing wire we changed the seals and did as we were hired to do no more no less all was ok until he got caught in a down pour and flooded his ignition system nothing we worked on .we went to court over this he never showed up this guy and his bike were a joke
