Arrived around 3:30, crumbs from breakfast still on tables and floor. Security doors to outside disabled, no clock and best part which may just be a Super 8 policy No Smoke Alarm! Spend a few more bucks and feel safe and comfortable.

First room we had smelled and the top cover had holes in it from cigarette burns. Second room was nicer. Then our keys didn't work for the room. We asked the manager for replacements, he only made it for one night. We booked for three. That afternoon when returning to the hotel we found out the keys didn't work, had to go back to the lobby, get new keys, then go back up again. Another issue is that the elevator hasn't been inspected in God knows how long. It squeaked and made me nervous, and I don't even usually get bothered by elevators. This is a lesser issue but the furniture is all scratched up, chips and dents in the walls and door frames, the tubs are brown and old. Honestly just feels like the opposite of homey. Not worth saving $20-30 a night.

Speaking of their pool, it's is only open "seasonally." So when it's the middle of August in Texas and the pool has a lock on the gate; I don't know when the official season could possibly be. So basically I just had to keep driving the next day smelling a bit past my expiration date. But luckily I had some deodorant and my dog didn't call me out on it so I couldn't have been too bad.

The good: They allow pets. There is a working small fridge and microwave in the room; and the AC isn't so loud that it keeps you from being able to fall asleep. So, it's got that going for it, which is nice.

You get what you pay for. Well, sometimes you get more than you pay for, like bed bugs. I spent one night at this location and woke up with bites on my fingers, toes and ankle. If I had known I was going to be having tiny friends over that night who wanted to feast on my flesh, I would have prepared a little better; like by taking a shower and getting all fresh for them.

I did at least attempt to lay out the red carpet for the little buggers but the water pressure was atrocious. It was akin to an old man with a enlarged prostate getting up in the middle of the night to take a leak and trying to eek out those last few drops so he can go back to bed. After I got my front side wet, I swear, I think by the time I had gotten the entirety of my backside wet, my front was dry again. And no, I'm not a whale of person who requires their own zip code. The shower was so bad that I seriously considered taking some shampoo out to the pool and lathering up out there but....

The breakfast here is very delicious yet it seems incomplete, the bedding is nice and cozy, good clean room that you will find suits your needs.

A friend and I booked a room to stay the night and it was nice and clean in the room. No noise complaints and right next to the service road and I-30.
