Shame on St. Michaels hospital for not doing a better job regarding collections. My insurance paid over $13,000. for my overnight heart procedure and they turn me over to collections for $1000. when there are people who never pay a dime because they have no insurance at all. Not fair. The one star is for Shirley at TLRA, not for anyone associated with St. Michaels hospital in Texarkana.
I received a notice from TLRA, the collection agency for St. Michael hospital, and immediately called the patient accounts department because I've been making monthly payments and knew this wasn't right. A month before I received a call from a patient accounts representative and was asked if I could pay $100. per month. I told her I could not (I was already paying $50. per month). When I called the patient accounts department the lady could not tell me why my account was transferred and had no real knowledge of patient accounts at all. I hung up in frustration and called TLRA and got the nicest agent, Shirley, who was helpful and explained in detail what was going on with my account.
Service was quick but DAMN. Really stick it to you in the wallet
Staff at front desk of the emergency are rude. It would not kill them to be a little bit nicer and pretend to care. Also every time she gets off the phone she calls somebody and idiot. Really?
Very clean and has great doctors and nurses
Love the nurses at the night time shift and looking forward to giving birth at this hospital.
